What is the difference between Culinary garlic and Seed Stock garlic?Nothing really except the size and quality of the bulb. It was all grown in the same row. Culinary (also know as table or eating garlic) is generally the smaller sized bulbs or bulbs that may show some minor damage from harvest. Nothing wrong with them. Severally damaged bulbs are discarded at grading time. Your best and largest cloves make for bigger bulbs next year when planted so they get classified as seed stock. Your biggest and best bulbs command the premium price. You can eat seed stock and you can plant culinary garlic.
